The View from the Firehouse

The one thing that is universal in fire stations the world round, is usually late at night there is a deck of cards, a pot of coffee and two or three fire fighters sitting around solving the worlds problems. It’s just a shame that no one listens to us.

Presumed Guilty

James Scott Bell

Since becoming a Christian, I seldom read novels anymore. There are simply not enough authors whose views I felt I could trust. Almost overnight I went from a fairly active fictional reader to one who now almost only reads non fiction. The reason I did this was because I didn’t want to be filled with the junk that was out there. I have however found a few Christian fictional authors that I enjoy, and to that I am pleased to introduce you to another author whom I will be adding to the list of authors I plan on reading, his name James Scott Bell.

From cover to cover this book unravels a heart pounding, page turning thrill ride that just begs to be read. However, what I enjoyed most about this book was the crystal clear presentation of the Gospel. Sure, this book deals with hard issues, including porn, a pastor falling, and a wife struggling to keep her family together. But the author never left the sight of the blood stained Cross. Sadly, of the Christian fiction authors I’ve read this is by far the easiest to discern that the author had Christ on his mind, and I truly enjoyed that aspect the most. You will not be sorry if you check this book out.
